When working on large properties, whether they be farms, orchards, vineyards or with livestock. There is a very high chance you don’t want to be driving all over the undulating terrain, but instead prefer to travel on a road. Which may mean that some road construction on your property may be in order.
When you are planning any construction on your property one of the larger questions you will have to ask yourself is if you should use truck and trailers or tipper trailers being attached to tractors. While your first thought may be to use truck and trailers. You also need to take into account how fast they will realistically be able to move over the terrain. And if there are any larger rocks on the property, as trucks fuel tanks sit lower to the ground than a tractor normally does. Meaning going over the wrong side of a hill or mound my end up causing serious damage to your vehicle.
If some of you are concerned about the amount of dirt that can be carried at a time by the tipper trailer, while it may be less than an average truck and trailer. The odds are you will still be able to move more dirt per day due to the fact that the tractor and tipper trailer combo will be able to move faster across the ground than the truck.
At HW we have a wide range of tipper trailers, from our maxi range which can hold anywhere from 5 tonne – 18 tonne, or if you are after a more robust build with a higher payload we can offer you our construction dumpers which start from 16 tonne – 30 tonne. Being able to move 15㎥ at a time. All of our tippers are made to the highest standard and can be customer built to meet your set requirements.
Once the road construction has been completed you could be forgiven for thinking that this new development will only benefit vehicles. And while this may be true if you work on an orchards, vineyard or property without livestock. However, if you do have any livestock on your property, depending on where the road is , you would be able to use this as a safe thoroughfare to move your stock from one paddock to another.
Using the newly added roady would not only be quicker but due to the relative flatness and lack of holes on it, would also become a safer way for animals to use too.
Overall construction of a road or multiple roads on your property will greatly improve the efficiency you can move your equipment as well as reducing unnecessary wear and tear on both machines and livestock (if you have any). As mentioned previously HW has a friendly and professional team which will be more than able to help assist you in any works you may need to complete.
